Getting Caught Up!

Zhoe Lynn Seeley was born July 6, 2008 in Carrollton, GA at 1:24 AM. She weighed 6 lbs. and 6 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. Zhoe was born 25 days early. We believe it was the fireworks that made her want to come out. The day I went into labor I was not feeling very well and I kept telling Kyle that something just isn't right. Kyle was going to go golfing with my dad at 4. After that we were going to head over to my parent's house for more fireworks. So, before Kyle left I decided to hop in the shower hoping that would make me feel better. Once I got out, that was when my water broke, I thought. I didn't know what to do until Kyle came back to say good-bye and I was just crying. We called the doctor and we waited an hour before she called us back. Because I was at 36 weeks the doctors said they would not stop the labor. We went to the hospital and got all checked in by a little after 4 PM July 5th. Indeed my water had broke. Labor pains were somewhat horrific but it was all worth it when my precious baby girl came into this world. My mom and Kyle were in the delivery room. We left the hospital July 7th, she weighed 6 lbs. and 2 oz.
We have some major catching up to do since I am a little late with this blog thing. Zhoe went to her 48 hour check-up and had some jaundice so we had to use the light bed overnight. She did SO well in that thing, she was a trooper. The next day we went back to the doctor and the jaundice rating had dropped significantly, but she had dropped in weight again to 5 lbs. 15 oz. Zhoe mostly sleeps and eats. Our next appt. was her 2 week well check and she had gained weight and the doctor was very pleased. She weighed in at 6 lbs. 13 oz and grew a half inch already. Her next doctor's appt. was for her 2 month check-up.
