She's our little Scooter Bug

Wow! Where do we start. Little Zhoe Lynn is growing and growing. She is now in 6-9 month pajamas because she is too long. I had to clear out her dresser because a ton of sleepers we bought for her before she was born are too little. She's growing like a bean sprout and you just can't stop her. She is still going through the phase where she wants to sit up by herself. She still loves to sit on Kyle's lap and watch football, she even gets mad when it goes to commercial. We have to tell her and promise her it's coming back on..haha! We got her a play mat from Baby's-R-Us and she just absolutely loves it. She likes to hit the butterflies and the bugs hanging from it. She just smiles at them as well and that just melts our hearts whenever she smiles. She is surely a happy baby!

We had her 3 month pictures taken and she did VERY well. I know she was a little overwhelmed with the camera taking all of those pictures as well as the lights but we think she will get use to it for when we go back for her 6 month pictures. They turned out so well and they are on a website and all of her pictures will be on that website for anyone who wishes to order any!
Last weekend she made another grand trip to Ohio because her Aunt Tara and Uncle Rick were getting married. It was a beautiful wedding. I was a bridesmaid and Kyle was an usher. Zhoe got to get all dressed up and we got some pictures of the three of us. Zhoe loves visiting her Aunt Tara and Uncle Rick and she can't wait to see them again at Christmas! Zhoe also got to meet Serena and Kyle's Aunt Kathy and Uncle Ray! I think Serena took to Zhoe... :) Serena took Zhoe out on the dance floor for her first dance, and it was to my personal favorite...the electric slide!!

Last night I went to pick Zhoe up at Grandma and Grandpa Sullivan's house. Grandpa had Zhoe on his lap and he was playing "stinky feet" with her, she was just a laughing and carrying on. I have never heard her laugh that much!! We need to get this on video camera! She is going to really miss them once they move back up to Ohio but at least they will be coming down to visit every month they promised because they could never get enough of Zhoe!!
We are getting ready for Zhoe's first Halloween! Trick-or-Treat night is this coming Friday! We are going over to grandma and grandpa's house and pass out candy with the neighboring Ohio people and have a weiner roast as well as making smores! YUM!! We will post pictures up of Zhoe on her first Halloween night.

She's growing up too fast!

Okay, so here's another post to get a little caught up. So, Zhoe no longer wants to be held like a baby. She fusses every single time someone cradles her like a baby. She likes to either be held up against your chest or sitting on your lap straight up so that she can look at everyone or watch TV. She is infactuated with the TV. She's growing up on us way too fast.

She has been to a couple of Kyle's football games and she absolutely LOVES to watch football. We had her in the stroller at first, well, she couldn't see the boys playing so she didn't like that. I think it's absolutely hilarious! Plus, she LOVES to watch Saturday and Sunday football with Kyle.

The other night I was taking Zhoe in from her room to the bathtub, well, she ended up peeing ALL over me and then she smiled. I told her she is suppose to pee on her dad not her mom. :) Speaking of her dad (Kyle), she LOVES to look in the mirror and see herself just like Kyle does. She gets the BIGGEST smile ever when she sees herself in a mirror. I try to take pictures of that but I am never quick enough.
Zhoe, bless her heart, has been sleeping at night for like 6-8 hours at a time. Course, I wake up every few hours to check-up on her because it makes me nervous. We nicknamed her Scooter bug. The reason for that is because she always starts out with her head at one end of the crib, and then the next thing you know she is turned around and her head is at the opposite end. She loves to scoot around everywhere, hence the name Scooter bug!! We love her!
Tomorrow we are going to a photographer to have her 3 month pictures taken. I am somewhat nervous because I don't know how she is going to react. I cross my fingers and pray she does well and they come out looking great. I cannot believe she is over 3 months old already. Time sure does fly by. Everyone at work tells Kyle and I to savor each and every moment in your child's life because they really do grow up and change so quickly.

Getting Caught Up!

Zhoe Lynn Seeley was born July 6, 2008 in Carrollton, GA at 1:24 AM. She weighed 6 lbs. and 6 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. Zhoe was born 25 days early. We believe it was the fireworks that made her want to come out. The day I went into labor I was not feeling very well and I kept telling Kyle that something just isn't right. Kyle was going to go golfing with my dad at 4. After that we were going to head over to my parent's house for more fireworks. So, before Kyle left I decided to hop in the shower hoping that would make me feel better. Once I got out, that was when my water broke, I thought. I didn't know what to do until Kyle came back to say good-bye and I was just crying. We called the doctor and we waited an hour before she called us back. Because I was at 36 weeks the doctors said they would not stop the labor. We went to the hospital and got all checked in by a little after 4 PM July 5th. Indeed my water had broke. Labor pains were somewhat horrific but it was all worth it when my precious baby girl came into this world. My mom and Kyle were in the delivery room. We left the hospital July 7th, she weighed 6 lbs. and 2 oz.
We have some major catching up to do since I am a little late with this blog thing. Zhoe went to her 48 hour check-up and had some jaundice so we had to use the light bed overnight. She did SO well in that thing, she was a trooper. The next day we went back to the doctor and the jaundice rating had dropped significantly, but she had dropped in weight again to 5 lbs. 15 oz. Zhoe mostly sleeps and eats. Our next appt. was her 2 week well check and she had gained weight and the doctor was very pleased. She weighed in at 6 lbs. 13 oz and grew a half inch already. Her next doctor's appt. was for her 2 month check-up.
